Genzyme Europe
A Regional Centre for European activities
Genzyme Europe, based in the Amsterdam area, serves as the regional centre for all of Genzyme’s European activities. The centre houses the legal entity that holds the marketing authorizations for Genzyme’s marketed products in Europe and provides shared services and support to European commercial offices and manufacturing sites.
Activities are focused on Product Development, Product Management and Product Supply, as well as Supply Chain Management. In addition, the centre houses leadership and support functions such as Sales and Marketing, Clinical Research, Regulatory Affairs, Pharmacovigilance, Finance, Quality, Learning and Development, Legal, IT and Human Resources.
Our mid- and long-term goals
Genzyme’s leadership position within the European healthcare biotechnology industry translates into a strong commitment to further enforce the European product development strategy, with an extensive and growing presence in 27 European Countries and the Middle East. We aim to reinforce our role as strategic partner for small and emerging markets in establishing sustainable healthcare systems.
